At SEC, we contribute to progress in the software industry and society by providing software education.
The Kibo Robot Programming Challenge (Kibo-RPC) is an international programming competition for students, in which participants develop programs to move drone robots inside the International Space Station (ISS) while attempting to solve challenges with the greatest possible speed and accuracy. Since FY19, SEC has served as a sponsor of Kibo-RPC, has helped develop and run a platform and portal site for the competition, and has assisted with running preliminary competitions in multiple countries.
SEC has signed a comprehensive agreement with Setagaya City, where our headquarters is located, to promote IT skill development among local residents.
“Setagaya IT College” is an employment support program jointly operated by SEC and Setagaya City.
Under the theme of “reskilling,” we assist Setagaya residents in pursuing careers as system developers and as administrative professionals who utilize IT tools.
We collaborate in organizing STEAM education programs for elementary and junior high school students in Setagaya, such as workshops where children can program robots that work on space stations.
In 2021, we launched programming workshops at the Setagaya Youth Support Center and continue to carry out activities aimed at supporting young people.
