In bringing safety to society, our Public infrastructure Business Field (BF) contributes to the realization of a better society by supporting national digital transformation initiatives. In bringing progress to society, particularly in our Space, robotics and advanced technologies BF, where, in the space domain, we are continuously taking on the challenge of expanding human activity beyond Earth and broadening the possibilities for daily life and economic activities, while in the advanced technology domain, we are promoting research and development in robotics and edge AI, which we regard as technologies that integrate the physical and digital worlds and embed intelligence everywhere, as well as in quantum computing, which we regard as a technology that makes the previously impossible possible.
Our business environment is currently entering a major turning point, driven by the evolution of generative AI into AI agents capable of executing tasks autonomously. In response, we are advancing initiatives to fundamentally transform our development practices by evolving our standardized software development process, SDM (SEC Software Development Methodology), into a framework in which AI agents, rather than humans, execute software development tasks.
